More disturbing details emerge over Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales and his porn network history

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
(NaturalNews) It is astonishing that the Wikipedia website smears so many thousands of people with false, defamatory information -- celebrities, authors, activists, scientists, journalists and so on -- yet almost no one has published the dubious history of its co-founder, Jimmy Wales.

As part of the background investigation into the Wikipedia smear machine, Natural News has uncovered some truly shocking details about Jimmy Wales and his very questionable character. It turns out that before launching Wikipedia and structuring it as an online defamation engine to defame and slander people he didn't like, Jimmy Wales ran a porn network called Bomis, which sold membership access to pornography.

Wales has apparently gone to great lengths to try to bury what you're about to read here, engaging in some rather dubious revisionist history activities that call into question his personal integrity. The mainstream media, predictably, has gladly colluded in a cover-up of Jimmy Wales' real past by running puff pieces glorifying the man while flatly refusing to conduct any real investigation into his real past. (This is how the media operates today: no real journalism takes place at all.)

If every source listed here is to be believed, Jimmy Wales traded Wikipedia edits for sex by exploiting his editorial position over a female editor, ordered the intimidation and harassment of Wikipedia editors who attempted to maintain a truly "neutral point of view" about Jimmy Wales himself, and exploited his position within the Wikimedia Foundation to attempt to bury details about his own past.

When the truth about Wales' sleazy business activities surfaces from time to time, Wales seems to exploit his control over Wikipedia to delete the information from his own page -- a privilege he absolutely refuses to extend to anyone else so that they might remove negative information from their own namesake pages. Wales sees himself as "King" and everyone else as "Subjects" to be raked over the coals with defamatory content posted by anonymous trolls posing as "editors."

Wikipedia, in other words, has become Jimmy Wales' own private Ministry of Truth where he launches Orwellian-style defamation campaigns against targeted enemies while censoring anyone who attempts to report the truth about himself. It's no coincidence that every person or publication which has spoken out against Jimmy Wales has been viciously slandered on Wikipedia.

So much for that "neutral point of view," huh?

Jimmy Wales got his start with a porn site

As the following screen capture from Jimmy Wales' "Bomis" venture shows, Wales was making money by selling access to porn:

Here's another screen shot of "Bomis Premium" in which Jimmy Wales offered 3 days of access to porn for just $2.95!

Here's a photo of Jimmy Wales posing with porn stars:
Jimmy Wales' Wikipedia linked to child porn
But regular porn may have only been the beginning of Jimmy Wales' sleaze-slinging days. According to a former high-level Wikipedia executive, under the direction of Jimmy Wales Wikipedia also distributed child porn.

"The parent company of Wikipedia is knowingly distributing child pornography, the co-founder of the online encyclopedia says, and he's imploring the FBI to investigate," reported Fox News in 2010.

"Larry Sanger, who left Wikipedia in 2002, said Wikimedia Commons (the parent company of Wiki products including Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikinews and Wikiquote) is rife with renderings of children performing sexual acts," Fox reports.

More porn from Jimmy Wales:

After WorldNetDaily also exposed the pornography and child porn links to Jimmy Wales, Larry Sanger wrote to WND and said:

Very amusing article about Jimmy Wales! Knowing him as I do, none of it came as any surprise at all. He doesn't seem to have changed a bit.
Wales orders the intimidation or elimination of Wikipedia editors hostile to his own public image
Under the direction of Jimmy Wales, Wikipedia has meticulously eliminated editors and contributors who have a truly "neutral" point of view while protecting and even promoting the editing privileges of corporate-funded defamation operatives who use Wikipedia to conduct character assassination campaigns of targeted individuals.

Those who are targeted by Wikipedia include political conservatives, health activists as well as healing arts practitioners, authors and naturopaths.

As WND writes in its own story covering Wikipedia's character assassination activities:

WND's [Joseph] Farah has been characterized by Wikipedia as a "Zionist twit and Jew-loving pig," a "known [expletive] sucker," "closet homosexual," "conspiracy theorist," "white supremacist," a "proud member of the Ku Klux Klan," a "religious nutcase" and "a pioneer in the political uses of psychedelics." It also falsely accused Farah of having a romantic affair with a famous conservative female commentator.

According to WND, in 2005, WIRED Magazine reported that:

...Jimmy Wales "repeatedly revised the [Wikipedia] description of a search site he called Bomis, which included a section with adult photos called ‘Bomis Babes.'" Wikipedia had described Bomis Babes as "soft-core pornography," but Wales changed it to "adult content section" and twice removed references to pornography.

WIRED Magazine, apparently practicing the same thing it criticized Wales for doing, has since removed that article from its own website.
Former Jimmy Wales business partner reaches out to Natural News to set the record straight
Natural News has made contact with a former business partner of Jimmy Wales who took part in this activity before leaving the company out of disgust.

This business partner, who chooses to remain anonymous out of fear of being targeted by Jimmy Wales, told Natural News that "99% of the Bomis traffic was for porn."

"We all used to commute to work together in Pacific Beach..." he told Natural News. "It really was a sleazy porn ring search engine."

Jimmy Wales, of course, downplays his own history, claiming it was nothing more than "...image galleries of female actresses and so forth." (WIRED)

And herein lies the fundamental "Big Lie" of Wikipedia and Jimmy Wales: This is a man who believes that he and only he has the exclusive right to rewrite his own history, removing negative information he doesn't like and replacing it with a carefully crafted false public image that portrays Wales as some sort of saint. But at the same time, he openly supports Wikipedia publishing utterly false, fabricated and defamatory information about other people, alternative medicine, homeopathy or anything else that Jimmy Wales himself disagrees with.

Wikipedia, in other words, isn't a free encyclopedia created by "thousands of volunteers," as Wales claims. It is actually an extension of the ego-centric psychopathy of a former porn king who now functions as an internet tyrant.

Jimmy Wales seems to be driven by hatred and fear: HATRED for conservative journalists, naturopathic doctors, NLP practitioners, anti-GMO food activists and so on... combined with the FEAR that people might discover who he really is: a sleaze-slinging porn king who has hit the "content jackpot" with Wikipedia and now uses Wikipedia as his own personal content weapon to run slander and defamation campaigns against individuals and philosophies he personally despises.

That's nothing to be proud of. In fact, it's something to be ashamed of. And it makes you wonder: Why would Google and other search engines give Wikipedia so much credibility when, at its core, the website has zero real credibility because its editors hide behind anonymity? It's no secret that corporations hire armies of editors to alter pages on Wikipedia. Wales surely must be aware of this practice, yet he has done absolutely nothing to stop it.
Kickstarter project aims to take down Wikipedia?
No wonder there's such a backlash rising up against Wikipedia and its content corruption under the guidance of Jimmy Wales.

A newly launched Kickstarter campaign called UNBIASED: The Truth About the Healing Arts on Wikipedia has already raised over $8,000 of its $67,000 goal to author a book exposing Wikipedia's lies.

The Kickstarter project description reads:

Wikipedia is on a misinformation campaign against alternative health and the healing arts. The public needs to know it. Natural health deserves fair representation.

Because Wikipedia promotes itself as an "encyclopedia" (with the goal to replace Encyclopedia Britannica) people often believe that what they are reading must be true.

Unbiased will expose the flagrant bias and academic errors or omissions on the Wikipedia domain, pertaining to alternative health movements and modalities.
What kind of person is Jimmy Wales, really? "Sleazebag" who "traded edits for sex..."
To really understand why Wikipedia is such an online hate engine with a distorted view of reality, you have to understand the character (or lack thereof) of Jimmy Wales himself.

Jimmy Wales is the kind of person who, while operating in a high-level position with editorial control over pages and profiles, hooks up with a woman who is writing for Wikipedia, then sleeps with her, then dumps her on Wikipedia, then tries to explain it all away on Wikipedia.

According to this story by The Register, "Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy 'Jimbo' Wales used the world's most popular online encyclopedia as a means of dumping his girlfriend - onetime Fox News pundit Rachel Marsden."

Wales, who hilariously refers to himself as Wikipedia's "Spiritual Leader," complained that other websites "...are publicizing details about a brief relationship I had with Rachel Marsden." This, Wales insists, is wrong. Because websites should never publish seedy details about someone's personal life... unless that website is Wikipedia, of course, which routinely and venomously defames a seemingly endless list of people with precisely such "seedy details" about their personal lives.

"According to the IM conversation Marsden shared with Valleywag, Wales was well aware that in ordering changes to her bio, he was breaking one of Wikipedia's cardinal rules," reports The Register. "Wikipedia bills itself as an encyclopedia with a 'neutral point of view,' and contributors are told not to edit articles where they have a conflict of interest."

Wikipedia's so-called "neutral point of view" is, of course, a hilarity. All across Wikipedia, articles are edited and vandalized by corporate-paid disinfo agents who pretend to be "volunteers." They specifically target the pages in which their corporate sponsors have a financial interest, such as biotech corporations hiring people to vandalize all pages related to GMOs.
Woman to Jimmy Wales: "You are the sleazebag I always suspected you were..."
The woman whom Jimmy Wales dumped on Wikipedia wasn't too happy about the low integrity of Wales himself. In a private email to Jimmy Wales which she shared with ValleyWag (Gawker), she writes:

I only have one thing to say to you: You are the sleazebag I always suspected you were, and should have listened more carefully to my gut instincts -- and to my friends . No, in fact, you are much, much worse than I ever expected. You are an absolute creep, and it was a colossal mistake on my part to have gotten involved with you. Now, my suspicions about you have been proven dead-on. I never again want anything to do with you, and though I have every intention of putting all of this behind me ASAP (which will be VERY easy to do, given the disgusting reality), I am happy to tell anyone who happens to ask precisely what I think of you. There is nothing good left to say whatsoever. Goodbye Jimmy, and good riddance.

Publicly, Rachel wrote this while auctioning off Jimmy Wales' clothing items which he apparently left behind in her apartment:

My name is Rachel and my (now ex) boyfriend, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, just broke up with me via an announcement on Wikipedia. It was such a classy move that I was inspired to do something equally classy myself, so I'm selling a couple of items of clothing he left behind, here in my NYC apartment, on eBay.

She also characterizes Jimmy Wales' posts about the breakup as a "whitewash." And that's a term that erupts over and over again when looking at everything Jimmy Wales has tried to cover up about his own sleazy past, his mafia-style Wikipedia operations and his exploitation of the popularity of the Wikipedia platform as his own personal content weapon machine used to target people he doesn't like. (No doubt, I will also be targeted by Jimmy Wales for merely reporting all this. And so what? It only proves my point.)

As Dave Winer posts on this comment about the breakup story, "Wikipedia, the publication that Wales runs, has rules that prevent people from editing stories they have an interest in. Wales was trading edits to Rachel Marsden's profile for sex."

He also adds:

Wikipedia, unlike Valleywag, is widely thought to be authoritative. Those of us it covers who are not friends with Wales know that it is far from authoritative. Both Valleywag and Wikipedia are pretty sleazy, imho, but Valleywag disclaims it, and Wikipedia pretends not to be.

Gawker.com, which seems to have removed the ValleyWag posts cited above, does carry this interesting review of Jimmy Wales entitled, The Last Temptation Of Jimbo Christ: A Non-Nerd Cheatsheet To The Wikipedia Founder's Downfall.

It says:

[Jimmy Wales is] ... a dude who picks up chicks using his own online encyclopedia. [He] violated the rules of his own holy church. He met Marsden when she asked him to fix her Wikipedia entry...

The Clintonesque precision [of Jimmy Wales' whitewashed response] helps Jimbo avoid admitting that his non-relationship with Marsden included all the dirty IMs about having sex in hotel rooms. So Jimmy gets to break site policy to intervene in some hot woman's profile, talk dirty to her, brag to her about his plans to beat Google, bang her, then wash his hands clean of his own affair and pretend he's still untainted. Why doesn't he just run with it and get all the notable women of the world to spend a night with him so he'll tweak their profiles? That seems more fun.
