General George Patton Assassinated? from Military Corruption .com

WAS IT AN "ACCIDENT" OR "ASSASSINATION?"
THE STRANGE DEATH OF GEN. GEORGE PATTON
NEW BOOK REVEALS OSS HEAD "WILD BILL"
DONOVAN ORDERED "HIT" ON CONTROVERSIAL
GENERAL - PATTON HAD CALLED FOR U.S. TO
USE WHAT LEFT OF NAZI WAR MACHINE - FIGHT
THE "REAL ENEMY" - THE RUSSIANS - FORMER
OSS AGENT AND HIGHLY-DECORATED ARMY
OFFICER DOUG BAZATA DISCOUNTS "OFFICIAL
STORY" OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AS COVER FOR
ACTUAL ATTEMPT ON GEN. PATTON'S LIFE
Just a few days before Christmas 1945, near Heidelberg, Germany, America's most famous and certainly controversial combat leader, Gen. George Patton, was critically injured in a so-called freak road accident that broke the general's neck, leaving him paralyzed and soon to die in an American Army hospital.

The "official story" was an Army sergeant, parked in his truck just off the road that Patton's staff car was traveling, suddenly started up his vehicle and lurched into the path of the olive-drab colored 1938 Cadillac sedan. Patton's driver said there was no time to avoid collision, and as a result of the impact, the general was grievously injured and later died of what was purported to be an "embolism."

There was no autopsy done. Why not? Individuals at the accident scene were quickly transferred far away and warned never to speak to the media about what they knew. Even the death car was bizarrely switched. The vehicle now on display at the Patton Museum at Fort Knox, Ky. was later proven to be a close copy of the original, but a partly scratched out serial number tag proved this was not the car the general was riding in that fateful day sixty three years ago.
NEW BOOK SHEDS IMPORTANT LIGHT ON WHAT REALLY HAPPENED
TO GEN. PATTON
Now comes a new book to blow the lid off the long-standing cover-up. Investigative reporter Robert Wilcox has done a excellent job of exposing what really happened in TARGET: PATTON - THE PLOT TO ASSASSINATE GENERAL GEORGE S. PATTON (Regnery Publishing Inc., Washington, D.C.).

Best-selling author of WINGS OF FURY and BLACK ACES HIGH, Wilcox interviewed former OSS agent Douglas Bazata who confirmed he'd been ordered by his spy boss William "Wild Bill" Donovan to find a way to kill Patton while making it appear an "accident."

Bazata respected Patton and wanted none of the assignment. He told Wilcox he finally was able to get a message to the general that he was the target of an assassination plot, but a short time before Patton was set to leave Germany for the United States, the road crash took place on Dec. 21, 1945.

PATTON'S MISTRUST OF THE RUSSIANS A THREAT TO "PEACE"
AND THE POLITICIANS
George Patton is perhaps best known for the infamous "slapping incident," where he used his gloves to whack the face of a shell-shocked soldier in a rear-area Army hospital. "I won't have any Goddamn cowards in my army! Get him out of my sight," the fiery tank commander allegedly exclaimed.

Patton's leadership and bravery were unquestioned. It was his famed 3rd Army that dashed to the rescue of besieged American airborne troops encircled by the Germans at Bastogne. But Gen. Patton's inability to control his mouth and his hatred of the Russians (some would later accuse him of being anti-semitic as well) got him in the worst trouble of his career.

In an aside to reporters, who soon spread his comments across front pages around the world, Patton suggested U.S. forces link up with what was left of the Nazi war machine and turn and fight "our real enemy" the Russians.

Back in 1945, Russia was still considered, at least by the general public, to be an American ally. For Patton to make such a declaration must have been the final straw for some people in very high places. It is not inconceivable, especially in view of what history has shown us in the years since, that it be decided Patton in peacetime was a danger the politicians could ill afford.
THIS BOOK IS A "MUST READ" FOR ALL WHO LOVE MILITARY HISTORY

Don't bother.

We are pleased to join highly-respected Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, U.S. Army (Ret.), co-author of ENDGAME: THE BLUEPRINT FOR VICTORY IN THE WAR ON TERROR when he said: "TARGET: PATTON is a terrific book . . . bringing to light new evidence and raising serious questions, all of which makes for a fascinating read."
